Canine Boarding
Every dog gets a spacious indoor suite with its own covered outdoor run, not a cage in a hallway. Food, water, treats and a cot are included in the rate. The activity is the only thing you add.
Chapter 01
The suite, not the kennel
Each dog, or each family of dogs boarding together, gets a suite with an indoor room and a covered outdoor run attached to it, so a rainy afternoon doesn't mean a day spent inside. The building is air conditioned in summer and heated in winter, and every suite has a TV playing dog-themed movies around the clock, because a kennel that's silent all day is a kennel that's stressful all day.
Fresh water is out twenty-four hours a day in stainless steel dishes that get washed daily, not rinsed. Fleece blankets are provided as standard, and a pet cot is available on request at no extra charge, same as a bed brought from home. Lamb and rice dry food plus a chicken and rice wet food are included in the rate, or you're welcome to bring your dog's own food if that's what their stomach is used to.

How the day actually runs
The rate is $47.00 a day for any size dog, and it covers the room, the food, and the twice-daily feedings, at no extra charge either way. What it doesn't cover is the activity, and that's deliberate: a dog staying more than one overnight needs a real activity built around how that dog actually plays, so activities are priced and chosen separately rather than bundled into a flat rate that doesn't fit every dog.
You pick from Individual Play, Personal Play (one-on-one with a staff member), Couch Potato Time (also one-on-one, for the dog who'd rather sit than run), or Group Play in the large fenced grass field or the heated indoor play area. Lunchtime and bedtime tuck-in treats happen every day regardless of which activity you choose, and a quiet cuddle parlor with its own TV and couch is there for the dog who's had enough excitement for one afternoon.
Chapter 03
What to pack, and what the front desk needs first
Bring your dog on a leash or in a carrier, something that smells like home (a blanket, a pillowcase, an old t-shirt), and a favorite toy if you like, though rope toys, rawhide, and bully sticks aren't allowed loose in a suite. A tennis ball is fine in the play yard. If your dog needs medicine, bring it in the original bottle. If you'd rather not pack food, don't. It's already covered.
Before any of that, every dog needs a passed meet-and-greet and a signed boarding agreement on file, which only has to happen once. You'll also need a rabies certificate and current proof of rabies, bordetella, distemper, and canine influenza vaccination, administered by a vet, plus a current Pennsylvania county dog license. Influenza and distemper need to be at least three days old before check-in, bordetella at least seven, and two weeks ahead is the recommended cushion for all of it. Get the paperwork in 48 hours before the stay so there's no scramble at drop-off.
Extras, discounts, and the fine print worth knowing
Add-ons cover most of what a dog might want during a longer stay: doggy ice cream, a frozen peanut butter Kong, a treat puzzle, medication administration, a nail dremel or trim, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, a bath or brush-out, noon feedings, seasonal photos, and a Birthday Pawty, which comes with photos against a party backdrop, an ice cream treat, and a take-home goody bag with a birthday bone, an invitation, a bandana, and a plush toy.
First-time boarders get a 5% coupon, and there are separate discounts for military families, long stays, and multi-pet families on activities. Checkout is before noon (11am on Sundays); a late pickup counts as another full boarding day, and picking up or dropping off outside office hours runs $10 plus $1 a minute. A no-notice cancellation is billed at one night's rate. Dogs with a contagious disease or parasites can't be boarded, for the sake of every other guest already in the building.
